The Photographer

About

A hobbyist photographer passionate about cultural documentation, Samyak Dhoke believes that every person has a story to tell. His work relies on deep community collaboration to ensure visual and cultural accuracy. Currently transitioning from digital to analogue mediums, Samyak seeks to capture authentic narratives through a slower, more deliberate photographic process.

Based in Bangkok, his lens moves across Southeast Asia and the Indian Subcontinent — through temples and backwaters, street markets and quiet mountain roads. Shooting on 35mm and medium format film, he works with Kodak Vision3, Fuji Pro 400H, and Kodak Gold, favouring the grain and warmth that only analogue can render.
